HAS IT BEEN A WHILE since your last teeth cleaning appointment? If so, we want to make it as easy as possible for you to schedule your next one, so here are a few tips on what you can do to prepare!

Get Your Smile Ready

Patients are always asking what they can do to improve the health of their teeth and gums.  There are a few key things that will greatly improve your over all oral and systemic health.  Everyone knows that your mom would nag you about, “did you brush your teeth”,  but did you know she was correct!  You need to brush your teeth at least twice a day in the morning and evening for a minimum of two minutes each time.  Have you every wondered if an electric toothbrush is better than manual?  We would say yes! Do you wonder what electric toothbrush Dr. Lavrisa uses?  Dr. Lavrisa uses the Oral- B Genius Professional.  The Oral- B Genius has pressure senors that indicate if you are using too much force.  It also uses a rotary spinning motion just like the prophy angles that our hygienist use during your teeth cleaning. Our office always has the professional Oral-B Genius electric toothbrush pack  and Waterpik Water Flossers available for purchase at great prices compared to local stores and Amazon. In addition to brushing, you also need to floss daily.  Flossing is very important.  If string floss is not your thing then a Waterpik Water Flosser might be just what you need.  Water flossing has been proven to be more effective than string floss and Sonic Air Flossing.

Housekeeping Items

Brushing and flossing immediately prior to your teeth cleaning appointment makes the appointment smoother for you and the hygienist. Don’t worry if you didn’t have time before arriving because we have an Oral-B Genius available for you to test drive before your appointment.

If you have had any insurance, medication, health, name, address or telephone changes please let us know when you arrive. Any new patients that have had x-rays in the last year we would request to have the previous dental office email them to us.

All About You Dental Care tries to accommodate every patients schedule by pre-appointing appointments for dental hygiene every 3, 4 or 6 months depending on the specific patients needs.
