Summer in Geneva, IL is the perfect time for grilling out, lounging by the pool, and grabbing a cone at Graham’s. It is easy to forget summer is also one of the best times of year to take a trip to the movies! Favorite Movie: Sixteen Candles

Why: I probably have watched it 100 times. I was in love with Jake Ryan when I was in 6th grade. My best friend and I would watch that movie almost every day when we got home from school. I was lucky enough to marry my “Jake Ryan” a tall, handsome man with dark hair. My hubby, Fernando, really turned into Jake Ryan when he moved us to Chicagoland, the setting of Sixteen Candles, from Southern California. My dreams really came true!

Favorite Movie: The Grinch

Why: My favorite movie growing up, and still is, is The Grinch. I used to keep it in my DVD player all winter long and watch it over and over. When my parents got a yellow lab when I was in high school, I named him Max after the dog from The Grinch. My husband is not a big fan of the movie, so the only time I get to watch it is while he’s on his hunting trip (probably the only time I can sneak the movie in) with our 2 year old. 🙂
