THE CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC has been challenging in ways many of us have never experienced and never imagined. Hopefully it’s the last time we have to face this kind of situation, but that doesn’t mean our practice won’t be taking every step to prepare. We are proud to announce we will be returning to the office on Monday, June 1st.

Planning Ahead

In response to the Coronavirus pandemic, All About You Dental Care will be taking every step we can take to ensure the health and safety of our patients and staff. When scheduling your appointment, 24-48 hours prior to your appointment and upon arrival every patient will be asked a series of health screening questions. Every patient will be required to wear a facial covering while they are in the office with the exception of during their treatment.

We cannot have people waiting in our lobby. Please phone our office directly at (630) 262-9696 once you arrive to the office and we will instruct when it is safe for you to come in for your appointment. We can not allow anyone to come with you to your appointment, including patients that are children. Any guests will be asked to wait in their car.

Putting Our Patients First

As you are probably aware your dental appointments will be different then they were in the past. Once you arrive for your appointment your temperature will be taken even before you will be taken back. If you have a temperature over 99 degrees we will have to ask you to leave and we will call to reschedule your visit. After the temperature screening is cleared, you will be required to complete a hydrogen peroxide oral rinse and to wash your hands.

Every procedure will require additional oral suctioning devices to be used to limit the spread of aerosols. To also limit the spread of aerosols we will not be doing the polishing portion of your teeth cleaning. The use of ultrasonic scalers is also discontinued at this time. Which for some periodontal patients may mean they will need additional appointments to complete their treatment. We are also transitioning to virtual exams for our routine dental patients unless there is a specific concern. Your dental hygienist or dental assistant will take necessary photos and x-rays and Dr. Lavrisa will review them while you are in the office from his computer and the results will then relayed back to you. This is to limit the possibility of exposure to as few people as possible.

Office Health and Safety Precautions

In accordance with CDC recommendations, our staff will be wearing additional PPE including disposable gowns, face shields and N95 masks for all procedures. Protective barriers have been installed at our front desk areas. We will have safe social distancing guidance marked on the floor for scheduling appointments and paying for treatment. We do ask if we can have limited contact for any payments and would prefer to have all payments done electronically. You can use either a credit card or debit card(it will be ran like a credit card). If either are not a possibility, we can still accept checks and cash.

All About You Dental care has taken additional safety precautions above and beyond the CDC recommendations. We have installed Aeramax Professional air purifiers in every patient room, lobby, front desk and lab areas. These are commonly used in hospital settings and are certified to remove 99.9% of airborne contaminates. We have also installed HEPA filtration to our HVAC system.

We’re Always Looking for Ways to Serve Our Patients

Our mission as a practice is to always be ready to help our patients with their dental health needs, and sometimes that means making a few changes. The one thing that will never change is how much we love our patients.
