Here in Geneva we are so fortunate to be surrounded by such beauty. Sometimes we may even take for granted how fortunate we are. The entire staff of All About You Dental Care has made a commitment to giving back to our community. Dr. Stephen Lavrisa and his team volunteer their own time every quarter to help give back.

On Monday, September 28th they closed their family dental office early. Dr. Stephen Lavrisa and his team members all volunteered at the Northern Illinois Food Bank in Geneva. In our three hour shift, the staff of seven and one patient were able to pack 10,060 pounds of potatoes, which will provide 8383 meals for hungry neighbors in northern Illinois.

We learned that the Northern Illinois Food Bank serves 71,500 people here in northern Illinois every week. 78% of the people they serve have a high school diploma or GED. In fact, 1 in 7 people in northern Illinois rely on Northern Illinois Food Bank and its partners to help supplement their food supply.

Quality family and cosmetic dentistry is what we do every day, but we also take pride in helping others. Our commitment is to help enrich the lives of as many people as possible with the skills that we have been given. Every February, we donate our time and provide free dentistry no questions asked for an entire day. In May, our office collected donations and Dr. Lavrisa matched $500 to help support our hygienist and Mill Creek resident, Myrna Carril, walk in honor of her son, Aaron, in the Autism Speaks Walk in Chicago. Santa Lavrisa makes a stop at our office every December during our Toys for Tots toy drive to take free photo’s with all of the neighborhood children.
